PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The appearance of this medium-sized cat compared to the wise owl: large and round eyes, sweet expression, full cheeks, and short nose. The most remarkable feature, however, is the folded ear, which is not folded forward until the cat is three months old. The single coat is soft and durable, meanwhile, long and present in various colors and patterns.

PERSONALITY AND TEMPERAMENT
The Coupari is very tame and loving. He likes to interact with humans and feel sad if left alone. In fact, cats will be vocal and demanding attention on occasion, even rubbing the legs for fast pets.

Usually, the cat will stick to one person in the household. However, it is gentle and kind to others and will get along well with children or other pets.
Very smart, Coupari can even be taught to walk with a rope or play a game.
CARE
Because of her long hair, Coupari should be prepared at least three times a week (preferably daily). Therefore, it is best to start the ritual of care first. This includes removing her hair with a wide-toothed comb and removing excessive wax from her ear with a damp cloth (at least once a month).

HEALTH
The Coupari, which has an average age of 15, should receive regular vaccinations and routine checks twice a year. Inflammation of the cardiomyopathy and polycystic kidney disease, a condition that often leads to renal failure. This type of cat also tends to suffer from joint disease, which many can be treated but can not be cured.

HISTORY AND BACKGROUND
The history of this breed can be traced to the village of Coupar Angus - 21 miles northeast of Perth, Scotland - when a white barn cat named Susie was discovered with unusual ears in 1961. Suzie passed this unusual trait to his offspring, though some long-haired while others have short hair. However, when a standard is made for Scottish Fold, only the short-haired versions are mentioned. The long-haired version, meanwhile, was reprimanded by many people because it used the "without ear" look.

It was not until the 1980s that when an American participant named Hazel Swadberg began performing a long-haired Scot Fold in cat fairs and shows, that orphaned types began to gain fame and recognition.

In 1986, it was officially recognized as a separate type by TICA (The International Cat Association), although it was named Scottish Fold Longhair. And in 1991, the CFF (Cat Fanciers' Foundation) gave him the status of the Championship, but under the name Longhair Fold. Meanwhile, the ACFA (American Cat Fanciers' Association) refers to its type as the Highland Fold.
